SUPPORT FOR SPIRAL SEA

We are fortunate to have the support of three Seattle-area benefactors with a Futurist bent in the creation of The Spiral Sea, as well as confidant Eduard McNulty, now in far off New Zealand (though still near-by in Web spirit!). Their generosity has assisted the zine in clearing the hurdle of technology start-up costs, permitting e-publishing and site funding to begin.

In addition, we would like to thank a number of writers across the world, who have helped, in varying capacities, to develop the wide-ranging core concepts that are the mission of this zine.

Specifically, we would like to recognize Shirley Timashev of the Urals State Technical University in Yekaterinburg, Russia; Carla Hackett, peripatetic Canadian writer; Kate Thornton, soldier and Web-author extraordinaire, whose example has been a beacon for many young writers; Jay Othersky, one-time engineer turned self-professed river rat philosopher; Chad Cottle, editor-in-chief of Titanzine and real-life technology guru, who showed us how to do it; and a special gang of long-ago high school friends and students, who have grown up to become some of the brightest Terran explorers of the Spiral Sea--the alumni of Keystone School, of San Antonio, Texas--some of whom will be appearing in these e-pages soon.
And of course, our deepest thanks goes to our families, who have permitted us to devote much time--spare and otherwise!--to the cause of bringing The Spiral Sea into the world... make that, into the Universe.

HOW TO ADD
YOUR STRENGTHS TO OURS

The Spiral Sea's mission is primarily an educational one. We want to tie together many strands of modern thought, give the Reader a good time browsing through life in the company of some interesting minds, and, ultimately, also create the opportunity to give back a bit of themselves.

If you would like to contribute monetarily or editorially to this effort, please contact our editor-in-chief, Jack Egan, for further details. We are currently adding staff to several departments.

If you have life experiences you would like to share, aimed at helping those who come after to know their way a bit better, and at helping to explain some of the more arcane depths of human knowledge to "the rest of us," please grab your keyboard and punch up the connection to our SUBMISSIONS page, where you will find complete information on adding your voice to those already joined in our chorale.

And lastly, the easiest way of all to assist The Spiral Sea in meeting its objectives: SPREAD THE WORD. E-mail our URL to friends and acquaintances whom you think may enjoy reading the works accumulating here. Sign up on our advance-notice roster and we'll provide you with the advance- notice announcement messages of each issue, which you should feel free to forward to your friends.

Now, enjoy The Spiral Sea. After all,
It's Your Galaxy!
