Editor's Note
March-April 1999

In just a few weeks, my wife is going to give birth to our third child.  The birth of our children is always a highlight in my life.  No Science Fiction or Fantasy could even hope to compare to the  miracle of birth.  It's a truly amazing experience.  Nevertheless, the stories in this issue are quite good.  I would never put anything in Titan that I didn't think was worth reading.  We have a first-rate Fantasy story titled Dueling Spirits  by Ryan Russell.  We have two first-rate Science Fiction stories, one titled Lines of Supply by Pat Welch that left me in awe.  Don't miss it.  The other is by Jay Othersky and is titled Saving Grace.  Jay's graceful and often humorous writing is a joy to read.

Two short-shorts actually made it into this issue.  A first for Titan.  In-Line by G. W. Thomas is one of the most perfect short-shorts I have ever read.  Jon Hodges, a name you might be familiar with because of his wide presence on the web, has contributed a fine Time Travel short-short titled Father.

Jody Speight reviews Magician's Ward by Patricia C. Wrede.  He and I have both enjoyed books by Patricia in the past, and this one is no exception.

Finally, the Ringside first published in our last issue is continued, brilliantly, by Jack Egan.  Included in the Ringside is a response from William C. Burns, Jr. to our last Ringside.

Be sure to check out our Things to Come page for some exciting developments at Titan.

All in all, this is one of our finest issue ever.  Enjoy.
