Last Chance

 by Robert Walz

I met Robert when we both signed up to participate in a Writer's Group over at Hatrack.com, Orson Scott Card's official Webpage.  Unfortunatley, I had to drop out of the Writer's Group because I needed to focus on Titan.  Well, I must admit that I am delighted with the story you are about to read.  This is Robert's first attempt at publishing on the Net, and I have to say that if Robert keeps writing like this I think he'll make it big someday.  This is a fine story.  Robert calls it "Theofiction", and I must agree with him.  Don't get me wrong, now.  This story definately does NOT preach.  Read it, and, hopefully,  you'll come away as pleased as I did.  Fine work, Robert.  We hope to see more of your work here.  This is the longest story of this issue, a little over 18,000 words, but every word counts.  This one, too, is not for the kids.
