Editor's Note

August-September 1998

One year has passed since Titan was born, and what a year it has been. We hope that you have enjoyed sharing with us your tales of wonder and that we've all grown a little in the process.

This special anniversary issue brings new things to Titan. As you can see, we have a different look, one we think is a bit more professional than our previous issues. We want to make Titan visually pleasing without making it so cumbersome that people with slower modems won't visit and read a story or two. Let us know what you think of our new look by sending an email to: arkmaster@spiralsea.com

We have a lot of good stuff in this issue. New short stories from Steve Lazarowitz and Brett Weiss, two authors who have previously appeared in Titan. Will Sand, Dan Dobbs and Robert Walz are new to Titan. Each of them have written fine stories, painstakingly picked by our editors from among some thirty submissions from last month alone. The stories range from hard Science Fiction to epic Fantasy. Check out our Things To Come section from time to time to see what stories are coming in future issues. We want to thank all the authors out there who have shared with us their visions and urge you to continue writing.

Also, take a look at our three winners from last year. Kate Thornton, D.K. Smith, and Frederick Rustam grabbed our $25 prizes for best stories of the year. Who knows? Maybe you'll win next year.

Enjoy the stories in this issue, okay? We certainly did. And send the authors an e-mail when you're done. Tell them what you think.
